5th Grade Activities
Welcome to 5th Grade! Fifth grade marks a special time in your child's school life for growth, transition, and celebration, culminating in the Moving Up Ceremony in June. We have many exciting activities planned this year for the 5th graders.
5th Grade Dues are $155 per 5th grade student.
Along with a contribution from the PTA, the dues will be used to cover the costs of all 5th grade events, the yearbook, a class t-shirt and a class sweatshirt for each student.

May 11: Heathcote Spring Fair at Mohawk
Week of May 20: House assignments will be emailed to parents
June 5 or June 6 @ 3:30pm: SMS student orientation (students will attend 6/5 or 6/6 depending on house)
June 6 @ 7pm: House specific SMS parent orientation
June 12: Capstone Presentations (parents attend)
June 13 @10:30: Yearbook signing (students only)
June 13 @7pm - 8:30: 5th grade party at Life the Place to Be in Ardsley
June 14: 5th Grade Field Day (rain date June 18)
June 20 @ 2:45pm: 5th grade clap out (students only)
June 21 @ 9am: 5th grade moving up ceremony in the auditorium (all family members are welcome)
**Please make sure that you have the t-shirt that your child was given in the beginning of the year and that it still fits, students will wear these for the moving up ceremony**
