Heathcote Health and Wellness

We are the recently-formed Health and Wellness committee. Our mission is to promote habits and awareness that support the physical, social and emotional health and wellbeing of our students.

We wanted to introduce ourselves, and also get community input on what would be most useful to you for our committee to focus on this year.

We will have some Heathcote-specific information this year (and we welcome your input to select the topics, please see below), and are also working with the other elementary schools and the School District on a shared framework of community-wide initiatives.

Would any of these topics be useful for your family?

Please select any that apply HERE, and feel free to email any of us with additional suggestions, favorite health and wellness resources and/or if you would like to join our Committee.

Wishing your family a healthy year,

Debbie BhattLaura ManzanoErica Papir

Multicultural Committee Meet and Greet

With a new school year in person, we are calling parents/families from multicultural backgrounds and/or who are interested in multiculture to kick off this year's multicultural events planning.

Please email Claire and Saum by October 15th if you are interested in participating.

We will email participants for "meet and greet" details.

On Friday, October 29th, 2021, we will be hosting our annual Heathcote Halloween Parade.  Our students will be marching masked and in costume around the front circle of our school.  The parade is scheduled to begin at 9:00 and usually runs for approximately 30 minutes.

All of our Heathcote families are invited to come and enjoy the parade from the sidewalk in front of the building.  Each grade level will have a designated viewing location.  We ask that you please remain in your designated location and wait for the parade to come to you. In addition, we ask that everyone please wear a mask for the event.

After the parade, the students will return to their classrooms, change their clothing, resume instruction, and their daily classroom schedule.

Here are a few helpful reminders:

  • Please have your child wear their Halloween costume to school.
  • In consideration of our students with allergies, please do not send in costumes with nuts or snacks with nuts.
  • Make certain to send in a change of clothing if necessary for after the parade.
  • If your child's costume does not fit in their backpack, send a large bag marked with your child's name.
  • Kindly leave all toy weapons, glass items, and valuables at home.
  • Masks must be worn at all times by everyone on school property for this event.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.

We hope to see you at the parade!

Membership Toolkit Icon

Membership Toolkit is our school PTA communications service, school directory, payment system and website manager.

At the beginning of the school year, the Heathcote PTA now requires that you confirm the correctness of your Family Information (Parents/Guardians & Students) or to register for the first time if you have not before. This is to make sure that all relevant Heathcote PTA communications are sent to the email addresses on file and that the Family Information is correctly listed for our online and printed directory.

You MUST join the Heathcote PTA to have access to the Heathcote online school directory, participate in PTA sponsored activities like the School Play and After School Clubs and also to receive the Heathcote weekly newsletter.

Download the Membership Toolkit APP for your smartphone

(You'll be asked to enter the email address that you use for Membership Toolkit.  The system will automatically send you a reset password email.  Once you change your password, you will then be able to sign into the app).
